dc.description.abstract**Please note that the full text is embargoed** ABSTRACT: Existence of maximal and minimal solutions for differential equations in abstract cones is established without requiring uniform continuity. Utilizing such a result an abstract comparison principle is developed. The results of the paper significantly improve earlier results of the authors and also simplify the proofs of other known results.en
