Criticisms of the Biopsychosocial Model in Spine Care: Creating and Then Attacking a Straw Person

We describe an evolving literature demonstrating the heuristic value of the model in developing effective assessment and treatment methods, and guiding research identifying etiological factors and prevention strategies.
