LaShaunn Bold, Associate Professor in Practice

Professor Bold has been a Licensed Master Social Worker since 1995. She began her service at the University of Texas Arlington, School of Social Work as an Adjunct Faculty Member in 2004. In August 2012, she was appointed as non-tenured full time faculty. LaShaunn Bold’s areas of training include field education, child abuse & trauma, domestic violence, leadership, management, and community service. Her time with UTA includes serving as a traditional classroom instructor, online instructor, Field Liaison, Field Placement Specialist, interim Director of Field Education, and Field Liaison Supervisor. LaShaunn seeks to incorporate her practice knowledge and skills both in the face to face classroom setting and in the online learning community. She will receive her Online Teaching Certificate from the Online Learning Consortium in March 2016. LaShaunn incorporates the community as an integral piece of the learning experience by regularly inquiring about local service needs and encouraging students to participate each semester in classroom community service projects where students can be directly involved as catalysts for community change.
